Nkiru Amene

Life is as unpredictable as death. I met Nkiru in Las Vegas, at a NSBA convention. We were bought aspiring applicants to the Boeing Company, had our job interviews and subsequent letters of intent on the same day. She struck you, you could tell her ambitions were tempered with uncommon humility for one so young. We had dinner and went to some of the NSBE sponsored events together, very bubbly, very bright. She got her letter of intent from Boeing for the F-15 program, but she shared with me her reservations about working in military applications. She had her own moral landscape and principles. She then told me about trying to get into Havard. You knew this one was meant for the skies, and to the skies she returned- way too soon.

Rest gently Nkiru...rest gently.

Its been a rude shock and painful realisation dt nkiru is no more. But am happy that I spoke to her days before her demise after a long while of not seeing her or speakin to her. She is one of the nicest people hv met always pleasant and positive abt life and Obviously everyone has good things to say about her. her family. Amenes must be extremely proud to have had a wonderful daughter and sister . May God grant u solace and peace knowing that she is in a better place.

To the Amene family,
 It is difficult to lose someone you love. It is even more difficult when that someone is full of life, young and has a lot more to accomplish. Know that your friends share the sorrow and loss that you must be experiencing. Time heals all wound. And if it is any consolation, you were lucky to have such an accomplished, likeable individual to call one of your own.

We write today to express our heartfelt condolences to ALL who mourn the loss of Nkiru.  She was vibrant, smart as a whip and a dedicated & TRUE FRIEND.  She loved much & lived much.  Nkiru you will be greatly missed and we pray that the good Lord will give us peace & understanding as we grapple with our emotions.  May we also learn to live & love much like you Nikiru!

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus,
I accept from Your hands whatever kind of death
it may please You to send me this day (night)
with all its pains, penalties and sorrows;

for the souls in Purgatory,

To The Amene Family,

What can i say at this dark hour of your lives? All i can say to you is,The joy of the lord is your strength. Its a terrible thing to loose a loved one let alone one with such young, vibrant, promising future,no one can ever fill the vaccum she left in your lives but i can say this with confidence, God will strengthen you all mum, dad, Nneka and the other sibs. Mourn Nkiru with hope because in Jesus name you all shall meet again. God bless you all. PEACE!!
